POSITION
Family and criminal law firm seeking experienced paralegal to work in-person (this is not a remote position) with one experienced attorney.
The Law Office of Anwar O. Snober was established in 2000 and has consistently provided clients with compassionate and insightful advocacy.
Job duties and responsibilities include:
Preparing and drafting motions, pleadings, judgments, statements, correspondence, and other documents (e.g., debt and asset lists, witness affidavits, child support worksheets, responsive pleadings, etc.)
- Maintaining attorney calendar and case files
- Scheduling appointments, court appearances, depositions, and mediations
- Serving as a liaison between the client and attorney
- Preparing trial notebooks and providing assistance with trial preparation
- Preparing and reviewing discovery documents, including mandatory disclosure, answers to interrogatories, and production request
- Maintaining effective communication with clients, other professionals, and witnesses. Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills and must be capable of handling clients who may be anxious, upset, or distressed.
- Managing the discovery process, including asking questions of clients, and collecting, organizing, and delivering documents.
- Managing office, accounts payable, accounts receivable, making deposits and handling yearly tax documents
Job Type: Full-time
Travel requirement: Local and surrounding counties only
Pay: commensurate with experience; up to $40,000.00 with experience
Benefits: Paid time off
Education: Minimum Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies
Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday 8 am – 5 pm
Experience: Paralegal: 3 years required
